Amazon S3 Transfer Acceleration is a network acceleration tool that takes advantage of Amazon CloudFront’s globally distributed edge sites to speed up data transfers to and from S3 over the public internet. Transfer Acceleration can boost data transfer speeds by up to 50% when compared with using a conventional internet connection.
To use S3 Transfer Acceleration, you must first enable the feature for your S3 bucket and then transfer data to or from the bucket using the Transfer Acceleration endpoint. Transfer Acceleration can be enabled and data transferred via the Transfer Acceleration endpoint using the AWS Management Console, the AWS CLI, or the S3 API.
